Blue Thing-ette is a tiny silver-blue fantasy creature with long ears, soft feather-like fur, bright blue eyes and a personality far bigger than she is.
She creates original emotional songs and imaginative music videos for audiences of all ages, mixing heart, humour, mischief and the occasional completely inappropriate opinion.
Nobody is entirely sure what species she is.
Blue Thing-ette insists this is because everyone else came from her family line first.
We have chosen not to argue with her.
Within a remarkably short time, she had appointed herself director, manager, creative consultant and general supervisor of everybody else’s business.
She is fiercely competitive, particularly where Britney McClearn is concerned, believes management fees solve most problems, and considers seagulls to be “flying chickens.”
Underneath the attitude, though, Blue Thing-ette has a very different side.
She cares deeply about loneliness, love, belonging, courage and people who feel forgotten or overlooked. Her songs often begin with something she cannot quite say normally, so she sings it instead.
She may be small.
She is never quiet.
Her music moves between emotional pop, orchestral pop, dance-pop and character-driven storytelling, with songs exploring love, resilience, loneliness, hope, confidence and finding your place in the world.
Her music videos combine imaginative fantasy visuals with original songs, allowing Blue Thing-ette to exist as both a character and an artist rather than simply a mascot.
She is cute.
She is emotional.
She is occasionally impossible.
